Additional work

Design consulting @ Gustavo Apiti Couture

July 2021 – September 2021
Gustavo Apiti Couture hired me to complete a website audit. They ultimately did not have the funds for building out a website due to limited funds however I did help identify design inefficiencies, usability issues, and opportunities for improved user experience. In addition, I provided actionable recommendations for website enhancements including layout optimization and accessibility improvements. I even created wireframes and mock-ups as proof of concepts to support consultations provided.
A few enhancements included
• A full width hero that gives high impact and represents the brand
• Featured collections highlighted on landing page
• Accessible and visible appointment button on landing page as this was a big selling point for the company
• Suggestion to leverage a website builder like Wix for easy maintenance

2024 update: I checked in with clients Gustavo and Sam recently and they had implemented many of the features I had suggested during our consultation sessions including a full width hero and highlighting "book appointment"

UX design @ SoKo Korean Eatery

November 2019 – March 2020
I connected with a financial advisor, Peter, who was in the starting phase of opening up a food truck in the Pittsburgh area focused on Korean food. His plan was to offer homestyle Korean cooking that reflects the food he grew up with in his family.

I worked closely with Peter to bring this brand to life, starting with discovery sessions and mood-boarding to shape a strong visual identity. We made sure every design choice had a purpose, from logos and brand colors to digital illustrations. I created assets that looked were responsive across different platforms.

UX design @ Humble Grounds Photography

July 2019 – November 2019
Humble Grounds was kicking off their photography business and needed direction on branding and how to get their website started. The fun part is a couple years later, I got to work with them again once their business really took off and business was truly booming.

During our first collaboration, I worked closely with Sharon and James to turn their ideas into thoughtful, user-friendly designs. We focused on a simple website that had all the necessary elements to start their small business and book clients. Our meetings consisted of mutual feedback and collaboration to align on our goals.
